A Local Spirit Keeps Tri Global Energy Committed to Developing High-Quality Wind Energy Projects
Tri Global Energy is committed to making high-quality renewable energy projects that are beneficial to the community. While every project has unique characteristics, the one common thread is our local partners -- landowners and others in local communities – who take an active role in the project development to support local growth and other economic benefits.
The Fluvanna I Wind Energy Project was developed under Tri Global Energy’s proprietary business model, the Wind Force Plan, which allows local landowners and community investors the opportunity to partner with and have a substantial ownership in the wind project development that leased their land. Community-sponsored wind projects have been shown to create more jobs and greater local economic benefit. Through TGE’s partnerships with the community managers and more than 130 landowners and community investors participating in the Fluvanna project, the company was able to work together to bring about a high level of local support and attention for wind energy. Fluvanna I has a total capacity of 155.4 MW and consists of 74, 2.1-MW Siemens Gamesa wind turbines. The wind farm will deliver green electricity into the Texas Interconnection power grid and supply more than 46,000 homes.
