Our Purpose
Tri Global Energy was founded in January 2009 with the goal of developing clean energy at an affordable cost and becoming one of the leaders within this emerging industry. Company co-founder John Billingsley was inspired to start his own energy firm after being approached by a wind farm developer and realizing that the traditional business model could be improved to better satisfy the interests of all parties involved.
Tri Global Energy takes an innovative approach to the business. We believe the development of clean wind, solar, and hybrid energy should directly benefit the communities that provide the power, so our business model provides fair compensation to everyone – partners, landowners, stakeholders, and of course, local communities. We also make sure local communities play a significant role in the decision-making.
Much of this focus comes from our enduring empathy for the plight of farmers and ranchers. This, combined with our management’s diverse business backgrounds, gives our leadership team a fresh perspective on the way clean energy projects are developed.
